Abu Nu‛aym al-Iṣfahānī (d. 430/1038), a celebrated scholar and author of many works, famed for his Ḥilya, mostly remembered as Sufi advocate, historiographer, hadith traditionist. Despite renowned reputation, one struggles to find much research concerning life works. Classical Arabic literature presents some information about him in scattered short biographical entries. Modern scholarship has even less offer this regard. None the existent sources biography that delivers precise examination Nu‛aym’s life, journeys, teachers, students all place. This paper is sequel my previously published piece entitled “Abu 430/1038): Conflicting Opinions” which evaluates opinions supporters critics.
